DON'T SLEEP ON CHICAGO KIDS

Before you decide who someone is, hear their story.

Every person has a story. Too often, only one chapter gets told.

Don't Sleep On Chicago Kids is a storytelling movement that gives Chicagoans the opportunity to tell their own stories in their own words. Through short films, we're revealing the whole person, not just the part the world chooses to see.

Every story we tell does two things. It helps people see Chicago through the lives of the people who call it home, and it helps fund the next story. Every contribution supports storytelling workshops, film production, and creative opportunities that empower young people to discover, own, and share their stories.

Because when people own their story, they begin to own what's possible.
