At an early age, Tirrell Taylor learned the art of supply and demand, from the west side of Chicago to the streets of Englewood. He began selling Pokémon drawings in 6th grade to all his classmates. Even though he was bullied for his classic nerdy appearance, his small body frame combined with a pair of large “coke bottle” glasses and a unique sense of style, He overcame his young oppressors and successfully defeated any kids that mistaken his looks for internal and physical weakness. As he transitioned from the smallest kid on the block into a young adolescent man, he began challenging himself and progressively trained in track and cross country throughout middle and high school. 

He successfully graduated from the De La Salle Institute in 2006 and was accepted and enrolled in the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff to pursue his desire to achieve higher education. During his five years of study at the UAPB, Tirrell used his natural hustler mentality and knowledge of business learned early in life to financially support himself through each semester. He was able to balance multiple streams of income, including working full time as an Alley Coordinator at Red Lobster, working part time at McDonald’s, and even turning his dorm room into a profitable after hours restaurant. His growing following made way for Tirrell to start promoting parties with a local promotion company, Golden Swag, and even advancing to manage a rising Chicago rapper on campus. Over a short amount of time, Tirrell built his reputation as one of the top promoters in Arkansas by hosting the largest events in the state, such as open mics, homecoming, graduation, back to school events, and house parties. 

Before achieving his goal and graduating with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice in 2011, Tirrell challenged himself once again by pledging the Gamma Delta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha. He took on leadership positions within the organization, such as Vice President, Director of Educational Activities, and Financial Secretary, to contribute to his chapter’s success. Instead of pursuing Law School, the most common route, Tirrell decided to go into education and became an Individual Assistant at Camelot Therapeutic Day School where he worked with students with autism and social and emotional disorders. He continued to hustle and balance different revenues of income while pushing himself to experience new career paths. In 2021, Tirrell decided to fulfill a lifelong goal of becoming an Army Officer. He currently serves as the Platoon Leader of the 233rd Military Police Company in Springfield, IL.

Now as Elevate Greatness’s Co-Founder and Executive Director, Tirrell does more than design successful ways to reach goals. With more than 10 years of leadership and media marketing experience, he’s passionate about discovering new ways of creating effective content while growing and sharing what he learns along the way as an emerging leader in his community. Even now, He still maintains his hustle mentality and conquers any idea or goal that presents him the opportunity to challenge himself.
